Lamvin, a Catalyst Acoustics Group Company and manufacturer of acoustical products, has launched a new line of acoustical beams, planks and panels with a warm, wood-like appearance. Aptly named Sonic Timber, all the products in the line feature acoustical cores wrapped in perforated, wood-textured vinyl, bringing the warm, natural appearance of wood and noise control into any space.

Aptly named Sonic Timber, all the products in the line feature acoustical cores wrapped in perforated, wood-textured vinyl, bringing the warm, natural appearance of wood and noise control into any space.

Sonic Timber products can be suspended from ceilings or affixed to interior walls to create one-of-a-kind, beautiful spaces. Their lengths, cores and finishes can be interchanged to suit décor, personal style preferences and needs of the space in which they will be installed.

Of Sonic Timber’s finishes, the vinyl is bonded directly to each panel face with all edges wrapped securely and neatly.

Designers can choose from 40 woodgrain finishes across three color collections: Timberline, Heritage and FeatherGrain. Timberline offers a very traditional wood-like appearance; Heritage has more pronounced wood veining whereas FeatherGrain, as the name implies, features fainter striations.

Products in the Sonic Timber line are ASTM E84—Class I/A fire-rated and come in thicknesses ranging from 1/2 to 4 inches and maximum lengths of up to 4 by 12 feet or 5 by 10 feet. Learn more about Sonic Timber beams, planks and panels and the many options for customization.
