The Willow Sconce is from Canadian design studio hollis+morris and elmed by Mischa Couvrette. Couvrette has long been a champion and pioneer of nature-inspired lighting and furnishing designs since its inception. His approach has always been to let nature inspire function and form.
The Willow Sconce showcases the interplay of materials—blown glass, metal, wood—and highlights the surrounding wood grain of a bud. The light recalls a strong branch reaching skyward as if it is a newly budded bough. The Willow Sconce is a suitable addition to range of contract settings, including the hospitality corridor, office hallway, and a lot more, making communal spaces look modern.
Wood is used to create the mount of the lamp, praising the beauty of oak and walnut that is sourced from renewable forest streams found in the U.S. and Canada. The branch-like design itself is made of different metal finishes in the colors black or white, presenting the design as chic lighting with hand-blown glass.
