Kebony is a range of non-toxic, sustainably treated wood products for interior and exterior applications, like cladding,roofing, windows, furniture and decking. Its proprietary process impregnates non-durable wood, such as Southern yellow pine, radiata pine, Nordic pine and maple, with a bio-waste liquid derived from agricultural crop by-products, which, with the addition of heat, permanently alters the wood’s cell structure to give it the performance characteristics of tropical hardwood. Kebony technology was developed in Norway in cooperation with international universities and research institutes.
