Turf Design, a manufacturer of custom acoustic solutions, has introduced the Timber acoustic ceiling baffle with a new twist. Applying the company’s latest release of organic wood-inspired Turf Textures on its signature PET felt, each baffle allows designers and architects to craft sculptural forms, both simple and complex. Fully customizable, from 30 color finishes to eight digitally printed wood grains, Timber offers a range of forms designed to complement space.
TURF operates as a set of tools within the kits of specifiers, in bringing all of their visions to reality. Creating different looks with Timber—whether uniform and sculptural, or asymmetrical and abstract—the acoustics manufacturer is able to achieve different levels of sound absorption based on how close the baffles are placed next to each other. The closer the baffles are, the better the acoustic performance. Designers can use this to provide a uniform aesthetic across different spaces that require various levels of acoustic support.
