Fil Doux Textiles’ Otratex – The Conscious Choice, is made with natural enzymes embedded in the material that creates enhanced degradability. Within 30 years, the material fully decomposes when placed in an anaerobic environment, such as a landfill, returning to the natural elements that comprise it. Under the Otratex umbrella is the Moody Blues collection, which features 18 color options that draw inspiration from the shades present in an early spring sky to the deepest depths of the ocean, and offers the feel and touch of residential, yet has the durability required by the hospitality industry.

Now being treated with Pro-Tech Plus—a technology that accommodates the cleaning demands and sanitizing requirements from hospitals, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ship industries—Otratex’s Moody Blues further raises the bar for the textile industry. Designed to provide the market with a vinyl alternative that can stand up to industrial-grade cleaners, Fil Doux Textiles’ Pro-Tech Plus ensures confidence that the blue-hued textile is protected from harsh chemicals that typically erode other textile options.

Highlighting a progressive approach to textile design, Otratex is manufactured in the company’s tariff-free mills located in Chile and Brazil, allowing for customization and industry-dominant lead times. Like all Fil Doux Textiles’ products, the collection is produced using sustainable practices on an industrial scale—dye waters for fabrics are reused, production power is generated by wind and solar panels, and leftover fabrics are repurposed for packaging. In the spirit of environmental sustainability, Fil Doux Textiles has partnered with 501(c) One Tree Planted with a pledge to donate 1,000 trees to Brazilian Rainforests for every 1,000 yards of Otratex purchased.
