Duravit is accentuating personal style in its ceramic introduction: ME by Starck. The range of washbasins, toilets, urinals, shower trays and accessories created for Duravit by the renowned Philippe Starck offers a rich breadth of options with a universally appealing minimal design and nearly endless application possibilities. The line provides bathroom essentials with Duravit design and quality, featuring pure aesthetics and balanced proportions. With this new collection, Starck has succeeded in creating a series that be introduced into all types of style worlds to generate an extensive possible range of individual design possibilities.

ME by Starck includes six versatile washbasins that work in residential and contract environments. All washbasins feature a distinctly slender rim that lend them a light, almost rimless appearance, while their inner basins are conveniently deep and practical.

The toilets and urinals also leave an elegant impression thanks to the collection’s signature slim edge. Duravit developed technology to reduce the weight of the toilets, resulting in attractive, sleek, self-contained components without attachment niches on the sides. The toilets feature rimless technology, as do the urinals, making them the first of Duravit’s urinals to offer this useful feature. The open rimless design ensures a dynamic and powerful flow of water that rinses the entire inner surface of the piece, while also allowing for efficient and hygienic maintenance.

In addition to these ceramics, ME by Starck also offers bathtubs, shower trays and bath accessories. ME by Starck pairs especially well with Duravit’s new L-Cube furniture range to create a timeless and beautifully designed bathroom.

The Duravit ME by Starck collection is defined by its focus on personal style and individuality. The bathroom supplier has taken this perspective a step further with the launch of Duravit.ME, an inspiring new website that tracks trends and goes beyond the bathroom, putting the emphasis on lifestyle. Categorized by places, products, materials and trends, the site offers content related to four distinctive qualities that also encapsulate the collection: pure, elegant, natural and raw.

Duravit identified four “style worlds” that make up the focal points of the site and also illustrate the collection.

  • ELEGANT — exclusive and sophisticated.
True elegance is timeless. It is the fusion of sophisticated materials and superior practical design. This is the epitome of ME by Starck: innovative but not over-the-top, extravagant but not fussy – subtle, understated luxury.
  • PURE — calm and clear.
Reduction, practicality and clarity: a timeless design sensibility responds to a saturated world. The desire for tidiness is reflected in a simple lifestyle: pure materials with a strong, clear design. With superfluous accessories, everything is in its place and serves a purpose.
  • NATURAL — sustainable and efficient.
Nature is the future: the need to live in harmony with our natural resources has never been greater than today, and it has never presented itself in such a modern way. Organic materials and large-scale transparency brings nature indoors. Sustainable design and efficient technology put common sense into design.
  • RAW — honest and unadulterated.
As the world becomes more digital and refined, there is a greater desire for something more genuine and imperfect. Craftsmanship is held in high regard: upcycling transforms used materials and industrial waste into fresh designs.
